Program Features

Business Administration, by its academic nature, creates a wealth of knowledge through university research, but it also generates a myriad of diverse knowledge and know-how in practical fields. Unfortunately, these valuable insights rarely go through the processes of systemization and refinement through institutionalized media, leading to their broad dissemination in a virtuous cycle.

With this idea as the starting point, we at Sogang University Graduate School of Business Administration have developed our own unique and special Ph.D. program, the E-Ph.D., after long contemplation, reviewing excellent similar programs abroad, and analyzing the needs of potential participants.

Korea's first Doctor of Business Administration (E-Ph.D.) program for senior executives:

Flexible Academic System

-Master's degree holders: Obtain a doctorate in a 3-year program (39 credits).

-Bachelor's degree holders: Obtain a doctorate in a 3-year integrated master's and doctorate program (48 credits).

Perfect Harmony of Practice and Theory

- Demand-driven deepening process design, not supply-driven.

- Derivation of the Sogang E-Ph.D. competency model through a survey of domestic executive competency evaluators.

- Focus on strengthening the four key job competencies required for senior managers and executives: Leadership competency, Strategic competency, Innovation competency, Market Communication competency,

- Benchmarking the strengths of similar programs offered by over 20 prestigious universities abroad.

Specialized Educational Curriculum

- Integrated online-offline courses.

- Opportunities to enhance global research capabilities through two overseas seminars.

- Establishment of dedicated E-Ph.D. faculty and committees.

- 1:1 close mentoring through the advisory professor system.

- Maximizing the use of degree achievements through dissertation writing lectures and subsequent publication.
